Hightown


Hightown once a buzzy shopping center now resembles a ghost town with Bosson and Doig, credit union, sewing machine shop, paper shop launderette all gone

Crewe Town Center on a Sunday February 09

These pictures were taken on a Sunday in February 2009 before any major changes take place to the town. Taken from out side the Abbey National Bank in Victoria ST showing Victoria St Queensway and showing Big Bill. If the redevelopment goes ahead this will be some for the history books

Crewe at Night

Some shots of Crewe taken at night the first one being the Limelight club on Hightown



An across the road there is Jubilee Gardens which I didnt know was open at night but as you can see it is.


A view of the Valley Park at night taken from Flag Lane Bridge it does show how well lit the park is with lamp posts every few yards but it looks ghostly at night



The new Eagle bridge Medical center in Dunwoody Way it looks very good with the well lit sign outside


The final one is Derby Dock play area at night with the flood lights on the basket ball area, its always worrying taking pictures of play areas as you dont want any pictures of children with the modern PC brigade about
